What is PLA Plus?
PLA Plus is an enhanced version of our PLA that's less brittle and more durable.
Please note: If you're simply looking for the strongest PLA on the market, you may be better suited to our 'regular' PLA here (though there's nothing 'regular' about our PLA).
PLA Plus is for applications where good vibration absorption and a lower fracture rate is needed.
*NOTE: Some printers do prefer lower temperatures for rigid.ink PLA Plus+ 200-210°C, bed temp 40°C. If your test print is looking a little too runny and the layers aren't cooling enough try lowering your temperatures.
Why rigid.ink?
We became so tired of the hordes of terrible quality PLA 3D printer filaments flooding the market, we decided to release our own. You need a PLA filament you can rely on, something that won't ever jam your head and produce flawless prints, every time.
Accurately represented colours, near-perfect tolerances and excellent raw material quality was our aim. It wasn't easy, but we're confident we've produced a 3D printer filament to be proud of. In fact, we'd be surprised if you found better.
Especially for this price.
Using the most technologically advanced equipment and the finest raw materials, we produce a consistent filament with a tolerance of just 0.03mm either side of the 1.75mm diameter we promise. We know it's good, we test it thoroughly with lasers.
Don't feel like committing to a whole KG roll?
No worries, we even sell lengths of our PLA filament in multiples of just 10 meters, allowing you to try out a range of colours at a fraction of the price. The colours you see in the images are the exact colour you'll receive. We may not have the biggest selection of colours (more coming soon!) but they won't disappoint.
Sure the quality is amazing, but what about the service?
It's fashionable to say you give great service, but ours really is second to non. Seriously, not happy with your purchase in any way? Let us know, we'll bend over backwards to help you out. So why wait, order from just 10 meters or 1KG of rigid.ink today and start printing something amazing.
We even do free UK mainland delivery on orders over 65.00 GBP.
Works with pretty much all filament based 3D printers, our spool size is - 20cm dia, 7cm width, 5.6cm dia spool hole.
Please note a different pigment is being used for the black from February 2017 onwards.
We do not hold Food Safety Certificates. Some of the raw materials used to produce our filaments are food safe accordingly to European regulations, but our filament in it's final form is not officially approved. Neither is the 3D printing process and all the components of 3D printers.

Printed brilliantly no issue
Printing easily but no luck with layer adhesion, it just snaps, tried different temp with no luck (from 210 to 250C). Would not recommend at all.
Sadly, my experience with a 10M sample of black PLA+ was not a good one. Having had excellent results with 'normal' PLA I thought I would give the + a try. Using the recommended temperature settings and changing nothing else the filament fused itself to the bed. I destroyed the bed mat trying to remove the print. Rigid.Ink were helpful in suggesting what might be wrong, but I will stick with normal PLA for the moment.
Thanks for taking the time to leave this review, I'm very sorry PLA Plus + didn't work out for you.
I'm glad we were able to help with what the issues might be.
If you did want to try again with PLA Plus+ we'll be happy to help!
All the best,
Jess
After several big jobs using Rigid Ink's PLA+ for the first time I find it gives consistent and excellent results with a nice finish and no adhesion, stringing or any other problems. I shall probably now order in RI PLA+ in preference to normal PLA in the future. I have been 3D printing for some few years now; my current printer is a Prusa i3Mk2.
Great filament and way more durable than normal PLA. The sweets were nice as well.
